The Virgin Mary Antiochian Orthodox Church primary mission is to share the new life in Christ among its faithful and through them to the wider community. The Church is comprised of men and women of all ages living in Christ, witnessing to His good news, reflecting His love, and living according to the principles and discipline of the Orthodox Christian faith. The Virgin Mary Church is a family that comes together at the Eucharistic Banquet every Sunday to soar to the heavenly throne of our Father who art in Heaven. The Church encompasses all our activities as a family of God, whether religious, cultural, athletic or social, because it is the love of Jesus Christ that binds us together.

The love of Christ and the willingness to serve Him resulted in the establishment of The Virgin Mary Church in Yonkers, Started with Little Rock in 1965. And it was this precious calling to better serve Christ. Although originally founded by a small group of Jordanian immigrants. Today, The Virgin Mary Church is comprised of over 200 families mostly first and second generation Arab-Americans, including many members of other ethnic and culutral backgrounds, all serving Christ under one roof.

The Virgin Mary Family is a vibrant, growing community of faithful servants of God working together to proclaim and share the Orthodox Christian faith and motivate others to explore the rich wisdom and eternal impact of the Church on our everyday life. Adhering to Orthodox Christian principles by providing and maintaining and enviroment conducive to spiritual growth, this parish continually searches for ways to better serve the needs of all its parishioners as well as to be a faithful witness of Christ to the wider community.

This Church, inspired by the Grace of the Holy Spirit, continually seeks to build upon and continue the good works and ministry of our faithful and dedicated founders who followed in the footsteps of our Lord. Many years of toil and selfless sacrifice have produced the Christ centered community that we call The Virgin Mary Family. And as a family we accept the labor that was entrusted to us by God and embrace our calling to be Orthodox Christians... all for the glory of God.
