Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology and Religion

The Orthodox Christian Association of Medicine, Psychology and Religion exists to aid  Orthodox Hierarchs, Priests and all the Orthodox Christian community by integrating Orthodox spirituality into the  science and art of medical and psychological diagnosis and treatment.

OCAMPR provides religious leaders, physicians, mental health practitioners, & biomedical scientists,  a national & regional association of Orthodox Christian professionals dedicated to the healing & growth of the whole person: BODY-MIND-SPIRIT.

The association seeks to provide a forum of Christian fellowship, communication & sharing of scientific research, permeated with Orthodox Christian theology and spirituality. A spiritual theme for the organization may well be the words of St. Maximus the Confessor: "God is the principle and the end of all genesis and all movements of [human persons]; from Him they come, towards Him they move..."

-To facilitate interdisciplinary dialogue among helping professionals.

-To work toward an understanding of the whole person integrating the scientific research of psychology & medicine with the Orthodox Christian Faith.

-To assist in the education of one another and the community concerning these interdisciplinary studies and the Orthodox Faith.

-To offer particular applications and services to the community about the whole person from an Orthodox Christian and interdisciplinary perspective.
