This summer, at the Parish Life Conference, hosted by Saint Mary’s Church, Hunt Valley MD, a new AWE executive board was elected. Our contact information is provided here. Please feel free to contact us with your concerns and questions. We will work to make sure that everyone receives all of the information and mailings necessary for a successful year.
As we begin a new church year, it is appropriate to recognize and thank our outgoing Co-presidents, Kh. Nancy (Helen) Waggoner, and Kh. Pam Pier for their leadership and inspiration.
As the incoming president of the combined diocese my goal is to reach out and discuss ideas for different activities. I am also very excited to get to know you and your fellow board members. I will be calling you in the near future, to update our mailing list. Please remember that every woman is an Antiochian Woman no matter the age, so as an overarching goal we would like to increase participation in the upcoming year.
We hope the following information enables your parish to make plans and set goals for the coming months!
ANNUAL DUES: Parish Dues are $150. Missions are exempt, but may still contribute. Dues should be sent by December 1st to our new treasurer:

SPECIAL PROJECT: Last year the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women raised $104,830.79 for the Convent of St. Thekla, to be built at the Antiochian Village. This year our special project continues to be the Convent of St. Thekla. Leading this project is Mother Alexander. Please work hard for this worthy cause! LENTEN RETREAT: Our annual Lenten retreat will be held at the Antiochian Village, March 30 – April 10, 2012. Our guest speaker has not been decided on as of now; if you have any ideas or suggestions please do not hesitate to reach out to me. Mark your calendars and plan to attend this wonderful spiritual weekend. Also, please share this information with your Orthodox Sisters…All are welcome!
ANNUAL PARISH LIFE CONFERENCE: The annual summer meeting of the AWE will be held on Thursday, July 5 2012, during the Annual Parish Life Conference (July 4 - July 8). The annual meeting will be hosted by St. Anthony, Bergenfield New Jersey at the Hyatt Hotel in New Brunswick, New Jersey!
