Bishop Anthony's Letter Promoting September Golf for Missions Event

July 2017

Dear Clergy and Faithful of our Midwest Diocesan Family,

Christ is in our midst!

Planning is underway for a spectacular day of fellowship and golf, hosted by our parishes of St. Nicholas and St. George of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Holy Cross in Dorr, Michigan, and St. Willibrord of Holland, Michigan on September 16, 2017.

The Golf Club at Thornapple Pointe will hold a four-person scramble with a shotgun start at 1pm. Cost per player is $125. Many of the holes will have skills contests on them. It promises to be an exciting afternoon, especially if you like competition! Men and women golfers are encouraged to attend.

If golf is not your passion, join us for dinner and fellowship immediately following golf. There will be a $25 dinner with awards and prizes, along with a 50/50 raffle. Come and join the fun! We have opportunities to make new memories, serving our Lord through fellowship to attain the important works of our diocese.

All proceeds will benefit the Midwest Diocesan Mission Fund, serving our diocesan priests' unique financial needs as well as their families as they spread the "Good News". Make plans to be with your brothers and sisters or prayerfully consider your participation through attendance, hole sponsorship, dinner, or a donation to our Midwest Diocesan Mission Fund.

For questions or more information on how to support this great event, contact Mike Simon at michaelgsimon@aol.com, Bob Golm at rcgolm@golminsuranceagency.com, or Salem Laham at sglaham@gmail.com. We have much work to do in our diocese and St. Nicholas, St. George, Holy Cross and St. Willibrord are hoping to have a financially successful event toward our goals.

Yours in Christ,
+Bishop ANTHONY
Bishop of Toledo
Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America
