The Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women of North America was founded in 1973 through the vision of His Eminence Metropolitan PHILIP Saliba as an organization of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America. Its purpose is to develop a spirit of Christian leadership, awareness, and commitment; to foster a genuine expression of love and service through works of charity; and to instill a sense of fellowship and a deeper understanding of the heritage and traditions of the Orthodox Church.
The Diocese of Worcester and New England comprises eleven Antiochian Women member chapters belonging to nine churches and two missions in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The Antiochian Women representatives (the officers, the coordinators, and four voting members from each member chapter) meet quarterly in General Assembly meetings. These meetings include a business portion, a luncheon, and an informative speaker or program.

The Newsletter of the Antiochian Women in the Diocese of Worcester and

Officers
Coordinators
Chapter Presidents
The month of March has been designated as "Antiochian Women’s Month" by His Eminence, Metropolitan PHILIP. During the month of March every year, women are encouraged to express the fullness of their ministry in the Church.
Sponsored by the Antiochian Women, each local chapter is encouraged to hold activities during the month of March and to participate in the Liturgy by reading the Epistle, delivering the homily, and ministering to the parish, the archdiocese, and the community.
Especially during the month of March, women are encouraged to minister to the needs of the poor, infirm and aged, engage in local charitable and humanitarian works, and raise funds for the Project of the Antiochian Women. Member chapters are encouraged to organize and participate in retreats or evenings of reflection in their local parishes or deanery.
February 5, 2008
Dear Father:
Once again, we are asking for your help in finding women in your parish who could benefit from the Antiochian Women’s Scholarship. Each year, the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Women of North America are able to award scholarships, usually in the amount of $500 each, to help women continue their education in order to improve their circumstances and those of their families.
We will be awarding these scholarships in July at the Summer Meetings at the Antiochian Village. You can help by passing along the enclosed application to any of the women in your parish you feel are eligible and would benefit from our scholarship. Please feel free to duplicate the application form if more than one woman in your parish wishes to apply. Als
