 Mission Statement

The Department of Marriage and Parish Family Ministries exists to preserve and enhance the marriages and parish families of this Archdiocese utilizing Orthodox Christian principles and resources.

 Vision Statement

The Antiochian Orthodox Department of Marriage and Parish Family Ministries serves to build a omprehensive archdiocesan network of Orthodox materials and resources to assist the healthy development and maintenance of Christ-loving marriages and families.  

Goals

• To instruct couples and families on Orthodox marital, family life and parish dynamics.
• To provide resources for development and maintenance of relationship within an Orthodox Christian context.
• To provide a network of Orthodox Christian professionals and laity who are available to assist individuals and families facing difficulties and challenges: :

Inclusive in these goals is the need to address the following challenges: pre-marital counseling, marriage enrichment, establishing an Orthodox Christian home, challenged marriages, parenting skills for all ages, as well as bereavement, communication and conflict resolution skills, and all pertinent issues that arise in the context of parish life.
