Bishop Thomas Visits St. Andrew Mission + Lewes, DE

His Grace Bishop Thomas visited St. Andrew Mission in Lewes, Delaware over the weekend of November 17th - 18th, 2012, and was welcomed by an appreciative congregation for Saturday Vespers and for the Sunday Orthros and Hierarchical Divine Liturgy.

Bishop Thomas remarked: "What a difference a year makes!" The previous November we were still meeting at the Grange Hall. This time for Sayidna's visit, we had just been in the new building for six Sundays. It is good to be "home" and we enjoyed celebrating with our beloved bishop. We were encouraged to reach out to southern Delaware with the good news of Jesus Christ and the Holy Orthodox Faith. It was noted that St. Andrew's is the only Orthodox church in Sussex County and that we have a lot of people to reach. We ask your prayers.

The Antiochian Women of St. Andrew's provided splendid hospitality after Vespers and again after the Sunday services for all parishioners and visitors.

We invite all newcomers into our beautiful area and all weekend visitors to come and worship God here with us. You are welcome!

Fr. Boniface Black and the St. Andrew parishioners invite all coming to the Delaware beaches to visit and worship with us. We are your Orthodox church away from home, whether you are a beach visitor, a second home visitor, or a second home owner and planning to relocate to the area. You are welcome! Divine Liturgy is 9:30 a.m. every Sunday. Please visit us at 33384 MacKenzie Way in Lewes. For more information, please visit our website: www.orthodoxdelmar.org.
