All those who attend the Archdiocese Convention will be provided with the following Announcements sheet. It is also being made available here for your benefit.
Please be sure that your cell phone and/or pager are turned off or on “vibrate” while in the chapel.
The Convention Registration Counter will be closed during all chapel services.
In order to maintain a prayerful attitude during our services, please afford yourself enough time to enter the chapel before the start of services and plan to be properly attired. Shorts and tank tops are not appropriate in the chapel. It is also proper to observe a pre-communion fast before receiving Holy Communion at the Divine Liturgy. Priests are available to hear Confession at the front of the chapel prior to the beginning of Liturgy, Vespers, and Daily Orthros.
To all hotel guests – a “Resort Fee” is optional for all convention guests. The amenities which are included in the fee include wireless internet service and access to the Resort exercise facility. Hotel guests may inform the front desk to have this fee removed from their charges upon checking in.
Are you commuting from another hotel or a local residence? The JW Marriott Resort (Convention hotel) is providing free Parking to all registered convention guests. You will be able to show the parking attendant your registration badge upon exiting the self-parking gate and not be charged for parking.
All parents and chaperones must have turned in to the Convention Registration Counter a completed and signed Parental Consent Form for all teens and children in their care.
For a good street map of Palm Springs and Desert Cities see the center page of Travelhost magazine (in your hotel room).
Your registration name badge is your “ticket” to convention events and provides you with free parking. It is very important that you wear your badge when you enter each event.
All personal checks used for payment at the convention must be drawn on a U.S. funds bank account. The use of a credit card is recommended for a convenient exchange.
A limited supply of tickets for all evening events is available for purchase. Please check with the registration counter for availability.
Make your seat selection for the Tuesday Order of St. Ignatius Dinner, the Thursday Mexican Fiesta, and the Saturday Grand Banquet and Dance at the table near the Registration Counter from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. today or until the start of the event.
Members of The Order of St. Ignatius of Antioch are reminded to wear their crosses to the dinner on Tuesday evening.
All registered persons at our convention will receive a 10% discount in all Marriott restaurants with their convention badge. Also, should you be an AARP member, you can receive a 25% discount at all Marriott restaurants. Note: Both discount options may not be used at the same time.
