A message from our Spiritual Advisor, Father Paul Solberg
Greetings to all as we enter the Great Lenten period of God's grace! "Who can say: 'I have kept my heart pure; I am clean and without sin?' Differing weights and differing measures--the Lord detests them both. Even a child is known by his actions, by whether his conduct is pure and right" Proverbs 20: 9-11 One of the many purposes of the Great Lenten period which we are about to enter, is to be cleansed by the love of God. So we seek to fast from sin, from various food products, from idle time wasters, from entertainment and the like. Why? In part because we desire to gain control over our passions and be victorious over our sins. Simultaneously, we participate in actions of giving, of kindness, of forgiving, of worship, and of study and reflection. Why? So that we might be a blessing to the world. May you the faithful be guided and blessed on the spiritual journey ahead! May you also forgive my sins, for they are many. Your servant in the Lord, Rev. Fr. Paul

The minutes of the meetings will be made available from NAC soon. In the meantime, take a look at our diocesan report.

Two daughters of our Archdiocese, Ramia Ibrahim and Nadia Lawand, just returned from a journey to the Hogar Raphael Ayau Orphanage in Guatemala City, Guatemala. It was an endeavour of service in which they provided much needed assistance to the nuns who protect, teach and guide over 90 children from the harsh realities of life in Guatemala. Follow this link to read Ramia’s reflections. |
