In lieu of flowers for the funeral, donations can be made to the Archdiocese for the benefit of the Retired Clergy Fund.

7:00 p.m. Great Vespers for the Feast of the Annunciation

TUESDAY MARCH 25

9:30 a.m. Orthros, 10:30 a.m. Liturgy for the Feast of the Annunciation

WEDNESDAY MARCH 26

Viewing at the Cathedral from 1:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m.

10:00 a.m. Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts

12 noon – receive the body of His Eminence into the Cathedral with the Trisagion prayers

7:00 p.m. Great Compline

Trisagion Prayers at various times through the day.

THURSDAY MARCH 27

Viewing at the Cathedral from 1:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m.

7:00 p.m. Great Compline

Trisagion Prayers at various times through the day.

FRIDAY MARCH 28

Viewing at the Cathedral from 1:00 p.m. till 9:00 p.m.

Akathist Service at 4:00 p.m.

Funeral Service for a bishop at 7:00 p.m.

Trisagion Prayers at various times through the day.

SATURDAY MARCH 29

Divine Liturgy from 9:00 – 10:30 followed by the Funeral Service at 11:30 a.m. (The Main Funeral Service)

Meal of Mercy for hierarchs and other invited guests offsite

SUNDAY MARCH 30

Orthros at 9:15 a.m., Hierarchical Divine Liturgy at 10:30 a.m. followed by Trisagion Prayers

NOTE: There are still rooms left at the Antiochian Village Conference Center for Sunday evening. To reserve a room, please call 724-238-3677 extension 429.

SUNDAY MARCH 30

1:00 p.m.  Vigil over the body of His Eminence in St. Ignatius Church at the Antiochian Village Camp
Note: St Ignatius Church will be open Sunday 1:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m. Monday morning for the faithful to come and pray, pay their respects, and participate in the Vigil. The Gospels will be read with periodic breaks for the Trisagion Prayers to be prayed.

MONDAY MARCH 31

8:00 – 10:00 a.m.  Breakfast in the Cedars will be served.
10:00 – 11:00 a.m.  Breakfast in the Museum Lobby will be served.
11:00 a.m.  Shuttle Service to the Camp Pavilion for the Burial Service will start departing the Museum Lobby and will continue until all guests are transported. We are asking all guests that are staying at the Conference Center to take the shuttle to the Burial Services as there is limited parking available close to the service locations.
12 noon  Burial
1:30 p.m.  Mercy Meal at the Cedars and the Auditorium (if necessary). We ask that you RSVP to the Conference Center if you will eat at the Cedars so that we may plan appropriately, at (724) 238-3677 x429.
7:00 p.m.  Dinner in the Cedars for those who are staying over on Monday night. We ask that you RSVP to the Conference Center if you will eat at the Cedars so that we may plan appropriately.

TUESDAY APRIL 1
8:00 – 9:00 a.m.  Breakfast in the Cedars will be served.

Parking is very limited at the Cathedral and will be reserved for dignitaries and special guests. However, there are parking lots in walking distance to the Cathedral. Please see this link for general transportation and parking information. Cars will only be allowed to drop people off in front of the Cathedral throughout the wake, funeral and Sunday liturgy. Please see this PDF flyer for additional maps and information on area parking lots and procedures.

 

Members of the Order of St. Ignatius are reminded to wear their cross for the funeral, Hierarchical Liturgy,  and burial at Antiochian Village.
