St. Severa of Villeneuve, France

St. Severa was born in the seventh century to Arnold, Bishop of Metz. Her siblings included St. Modoald, Bishop of Trier, Germany, and St. Itta, founder of the monastery at Nivelles.

St. Severa was the first abbess of St. Gemma (late Sainte-Severe) in Villeneuve near Bourges, France.

She fell asleep in the Lord in 660.
