Message From the NAC Teen SOYO President
Elaina Matook on the NAC Teen SOYO St John Chrysostom Youth Worker Fund
The St John Chrysostom Youth Worker Endowment Fund, was recently established by NAC Teen SOYO, to help train parish youth workers.
Greetings in the name of the Lord!
As you know, Teen SOYO is an integral part of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese of North America, and the youth of today will be our parish priests and Sunday school teachers, and will comprise our Parish Councils, St. Ignatius of Antioch, and the Board of Trustees in the blink of an eye.
The teens feel a strong need for an increased number of better trained and educated Youth Workers for guidance, support, and assistance in SOYO activities. In response to this need, NAC Teen SOYO has established the St. John Chrysostom Youth Worker Endowment Fund to provide scholarship funding for youth directors to receive the necessary education so they may better serve the youth of our parishes. By establishing this scholarship fund, the teens have taken the initiative in solving this prevalent problem, and now we ask you to assist us to follow through with our plan of establishing this endowment fund. With your financial generosity, this project will be successful in obtaining improved guidance for the youth of our Archdiocese.
Please be generous in your support of this project and help fulfill our vision for a Teen SOYO that will be even more successful and dynamic than it is now. The youth of today are the present and future of this Archdiocese, so with your help, we can meet the future supported by a strong foundation based on the love of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Humbly in Christ,
NAC Teen SOYO President
